Show some love and join us for lunch on February 14th as we welcome Melissa Atkins, Vice President of Linehaul for Southeastern Freight Lines!
Southeastern Freight Lines is one of the nation’s Top 10 LTL Freight Companies, and Atkins is the first female officer in their Operations Department since their inception in 1950, making her responsible for one of the largest cost buckets of the 1.7-billion-dollar company. Atkins’ strong work ethic, sharp intellect, and servant leadership have led her to where she is today.
Before joining the Southeastern team in 2004, Melissa served 10 years in the Air Force as a Maintenance Data Systems Analyst all across the globe, from Saudi Arabia to Iceland, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Park University while enlisted. Despite the obstacles, she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Atkins’ talent and expertise put her on an inspiring career path with Southeastern Freight Lines.

A proud member of the Women in Trucking Association, Atkins has excelled in a male-populated industry and continues to make a positive impact.
